Software Development Engineer, Amazon Web Services (AWS) (Aug 2026 – Present). Building the frontend of the QChat Assistant, working in React, TypeScript and Node. The work is internal, so the detail stops here.
Three things I built
- AWS Tutorials on a Local Cloud Emulator - Open-source tutorial series teaching core AWS services against a local emulator, so students run real AWS APIs with no account, no card, and no surprise bill. Every documented command also runs headless in CI, 80 checks today, so the material cannot silently go stale. Live GitHub
- Orq: AI Incident Response Operator - 10-node Temporal DAG with Claude-powered root cause analysis, reducing MTTR from 47 to 18 min across 230+ synthetic incidents. GitHub
- EcoMate-AI - A Streamlit platform using OCR (Tesseract) and LLMs to extract receipt data and compute carbon footprints, yielding 91% accurate impact visualizations via interactive dashboards. Won 1st place among 40+ teams. GitHub Live Demo
Open source
22 merged pull requests across 15 repositories, 8 of them in the Hugging Face ecosystem. Merged PRs shipping in widely used Python & ML libraries with millions of downloads a month. See them on GitHub.
Writing
- OPT and the EAD card, explained end to end - What actually happens between your school saying yes and a card arriving that lets you work. Written for students, with the official page linked at every number.
- Four ways a cloud emulator lied to me - One of them destroys data and never raises an error. Found by hand-probing 38 operations across 16 AWS services.
- Somebody beat my profanity filter with a 6 - My own leetspeak table mapped 6 to g, so 6ex normalized to gex and walked straight onto the leaderboard.
